COVID-19 Updates

CONTACT US

As you know, recently things have changed here in Douglas County and we have decided to start seeing in-person appointments for pets scheduled for a doctor exam with specific guidelines and precautions:

1. You will still be calling us when you have arrived to check-in (Or using our app chat). The front desk staff will get you checked in and let you know which exam room we have available for you.
If an exam room is not yet available, we will call you back when one is available, and you may come inside, and we will direct you straight into the exam room.
2. Only ONE person is allowed inside with the pet for the doctor exam. If you have children or cannot just have one person come inside, we can continue your appointment as a curbside appointment to make things more convenient.
3. We will be wearing a mask and ask that you do so as well– *If you do not want to wear a mask we will continue your appointment as a curbside appointment and take your pet inside for an exam with our team while you wait in the car.
4. Any other appointment type (technician appointment, surgical check-in, day patient, etc.). are all still CURBSIDE at this time.

***Please make sure to have your cell phone with you during your appointment as this is how we will be communicating with you during your pet’s visit. Also, please make sure your pet has a secure collar and leash as we will be taking your pet from your car into the clinic and we do not want your pet to have the chance to slip out of their collar/lead***

*If you are experiencing any symptoms of cold or flu or have had any known or suspected exposure to COVID-19, please give us a call so we can re-schedule your appointment to a later date.

For detailed instructions on curbside check-in, you can click HERE to view all past letters that contain that information as well as prescription pick-up instructions.

App Chat- This is a new feature in our app we are utilizing during our curbside check-in procedures, but this feature is here to stay! You can use this anytime to chat with us during business hours!
*If you do not have our app yet, you can download it here:   APPLE     ANDROID

If you have any questions, please give us a call or send us an email at info@vcparker.net (or chat hooray!).

We will keep you updated as things change!

Sincerely,

The Veterinary Center of Parker Team

May 5, 2020 Update

We are happy to announce that we are now able to offer wellness appointments again! Annual exams, all vaccines, heartworm testing, nail trims, anal glands, etc.!

**However, we are still operating under curbside check-in procedures until further notice to ensure the safety of our staff and the community.

Curbside Check-In Process:

  1. When you arrive for your appointment and have safely parked, give us a call to check-in (720-851-0820).We will confirm your cell phone # as this is how we will be communicating with you for the remainder of the appointment. We will also be asking you to provide us with payment information so we can store it in our system to conduct a contactless payment (this information is securely stored in our payment processing system and is encrypted- not even our staff can see the full card number after it has been entered into our system so rest assured your information is safe).3. After you check-in for your appointment, you will then speak with a technician or assistant over the phone so they can gather pertinent medical information and ask any questions. Depending on staffing availability, we will either place you on hold to speak to a technician or assistant when you call to check-in or have them call you on your cell phone as soon as they are available and ready to get your appointment started.

    3. When we are ready to evaluate your pet, we will come to your car to retrieve your pet and take them inside for an exam by our veterinary team.

    4. You will stay inside of your vehicle while we conduct your pet’s exam (take this time to relax and catch up on a podcast, listen to an audiobook, take a nap).

    5. After we finish your pet’s exam- we will call you with the results, treatment plan options and discuss charges.

    6. Once your pet’s visit is complete, we will process your card on file, email you a receipt and then bring your pet to your car.

*If you are experiencing any symptoms of cold or flu or have had any known or suspected exposure to COVID-19, please give us a call so we can re-schedule your appointment to a later date.

️ Heartworm/Flea & Tick Preventatives:
It’s that time again…. does your pet need a heartworm test? Give us a call to schedule!

We are filling prescriptions for heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention. We can either fill here at the clinic for curbside pick-up or you can order through our online pharmacy for delivery to your house.

Heartworm prevention is very important, and we do not want your pet to go unprotected. As the weather starts to warm up, mosquitos and other bugs are coming back out and can infect your animal. Heartworm prevention not only helps to protect your pets against heartworms that can cause potentially fatal heartworm disease, but most preventatives can also help protect your pet from other internal and external parasites that can be transmitted to you and your family.

If you are needing to pick-up prescriptions:
1. Give us a call when you are on your way so we can ensure your pet’s prescription is ready.
2. If we have not already, we will ask for payment information so we can store in our system and process your payment ahead of time.
3. When you arrive and are safely parked, give us a call (720-851-0820)
4. A member of our staff will come outside and deliver your prescription to your car.

If you have any questions, please give us a call or send us an email at info@vcparker.net.
