VETERINARIANS

Dr. Lindsay Mamula-Crippen, DVM, MBA, CVPM,CVFT

Veterinarian / Owner
Dr. Mamula-Crippen's Bio
Hello all! If you are reading this then you are interested in VCPI becoming your new home for veterinary care. Here’s a little information about me.

I am a native of Colorado. In high school I was an avid athlete playing volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I, also, loved the piano and started playing at the age of five. For as long as I can remember I have aspired to be a veterinarian. My animal care career started in high school. I worked as a kennel “kid” at our family veterinarian. Even though my role was small, I learned firsthand the importance the client places on feeling confident and comfortable with their pet care provider.

I attended Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins studying Biology and Zoology. During college I worked at Lambspun of Colorado, a fiber arts gallery. While working there it was a necessity to acquire the skills of knitting, spinning, weaving and crocheting, but I, also, learned and saw firsthand how important it is to manage a business. Those three years provided me the confidence and determination to become a veterinarian and a business owner. Upon graduation from CSU, I applied and was accepted at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. I graduated in May 2003 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and returned to Colorado. To enhance my entrepreneurial knowledge, I decided to continue school and graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the University of Colorado at Denver.

What are those other letters behind my name? As you can tell I have a love of learning. Business was always something that intrigued me having two parents that were CPAs (Certified Public Accountants). So, I went further with my education to become a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM). Once I dove more into veterinary medicine, I found I have a love for nutrition. I started exploring Eastern Medicine and obtained my Certified Veterinary Food Therapist Certification (CVFT). The love of learning never dies, so I will continue to be the best veterinarian I can be.

My doctor career started soon after my return to Colorado as an emergency and critical care veterinarian on the overnight shifts for a large Castle Rock practice. Since I was the only veterinarian present at night, I learned a lot of practical experience quickly. I worked my way onto the day shift as a general practitioner. After five years of practicing medicine there, I advanced in my career by becoming part owner of a practice in Castle Pines. I was a general practitioner as well as the primary manager of the multi-doctor practice for the next six years.

I moved to Parker in August 2014 and love it. I am calling my new home Veterinary Center of Parker, Inc. aka VCPI.

The final tidbit about me is my family. I am married with a charming and beautiful 10-year-old daughter. No doubt you will see her at the clinic volunteering her time, walking your fur babies and helping the clinic stay clean. The furry family members are Black Diamond, Chloe, and Everett (all cats), Bucky (Boston Terrier), Hazel (French Bulldog) and lots of lizards, turtle, hamster, guinea pigs and birds. I have a passion for photography, crafts, nutrition and CrossFit.

I look forward to meeting you and am excited to be a part of a dynamic team that offers compassionate care for your beloved furry or scaled family members!

P.S. We work as a team; you rely on my staff and me, the doctor, to prevent and heal, and I rely on you to tell me their story. We hope to gain your trust and confidence as your veterinary care provider to love and protect your pet.

Dr. Amanda Cormier, DVM

Veterinarian / Medical Director

Dr. Cormier's Bio
I grew up in Massachusetts and have wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. After school you could find me walking dogs at our local shelter, working at the barn to pay for horseback riding lessons, and shadowing veterinarians. As an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast, I came to Colorado where I got my Bachelor of Arts in biology from Colorado College. I then received my Doctors of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. However, the mountains were calling, so I made my way back to Colorado and I love being part of the VCPI family.

When I’m not working you can find me hiking with my dog, Poe, or playing with my cat, Lila, and turtle, Flip. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friends!

Dr. Carlos Lloveras-Fuentes, DVM

Veterinarian / Lead Doctor
Dr. Lloveras-Fuentes' Bio

Hello, I am Dr. Carlos! I was born in sunny San Juan, Puerto Rico and have always had a passion for helping animals in need. I started working with the local animal rescue organizations when I was in high school and this helped me realized that I wanted to become a veterinarian. I moved to Florida where I got my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a minor in Zoology from the University of Florida. Afterwards I moved to Alabama where I met my wife Alba and received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Tuskegee University. Colorado’s outdoor and pet friendly lifestyle caught our attention and, after participating in a few externships in the Denver area, we decided Colorado was the place to be!!

We share our home with 2 Spanish Water Dogs named Zoe and Hugo, a Weimaraner named Zahra, 3 cats named Poe, Spy, and Alyah and 2 Sugar Gliders named Bindi and Lune. On our days off, we enjoy exploring Colorado with our dogs or you can find me at home playing the drums. I am so happy to be part of the VCPI Family and can’t wait to meet you!

VETERINARY TECHNICIANS

Amy Edwards, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

Amy's Bio
My name is Amy and I discovered my passion for veterinary medicine when I started my first job at a veterinary clinic in New Jersey. Little did I know this would be the start of my forever career. A year later I found my way to Colorado and graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Veterinary Technology as a CVT in 2001. I have a passion for helping critically ill and senior pets and have worked in both Colorado and Florida in general practice and emergency medicine. While in Florida I had the unique opportunity to work for a non-profit organization, Southeastern Guide Dogs. Helping pets and changing the lives of those with visual impairment was an incredibly rewarding experience. The last half of my career has been in hospital management and I am excited to place my focus back on patient care!

I share my life with my husband, daughter, 2 dogs (Tuesday, a Tibetan Mastiff and Murphy a Pit Bull mix) and 3 cats (Bling, Zip, & Wasabi). I love spending time with my family outdoors. In the winter you can find me snowboarding and in the warmer months I enjoy gardening, hiking, and exploring the mountains and nature.

Shanyn Cascia, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician / Lead Technician

Shanyn's Bio

Hello! I am very proud to be a part of VCPI, doing what I love alongside a work-family I adore! This is a second career for me, as I originally spent ten years working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and manager. Growing up, I always had animals surrounding me and wanted to become a Veterinarian. While attending college, I had two amazing children and chose to focus on raising them while working at the 9-1-1 center. I am so thrilled to be here fulfilling life-long goals within the Veterinary Medicine community. I have a deep passion for leadership and helping others grow to see their fullest potential. When I’m not at work loving on your amazing furry family members, I am at home on our farm in Eastern Colorado alongside my wonderful husband. We grow our own produce and have critters that range from goats and llamas to dogs, turkeys, ducks, chickens, and a turtle named Edna! You could say that animals truly are my life, and I LOVE IT!

I look forward to seeing you and your wonderful pets at VCPI!

Lesley Perry

Lesley's Bio

Aloha! My name is Lesley Perry. I am a native Hawaiian, born and raised on the island of Oahu. Though I miss the beautiful sandy beaches and lush green mountains of Hawaii, I have happily called Colorado my home since 2007. I am a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BA degree in zoology. I have worked in the veterinary field as a veterinary technician/assistant since 2005. My experience in the veterinary field has been with both general practice clinics as well as emergency hospitals. The hours that I have spent communicating with clients and helping to treat their pets have taught me the importance of compassion, empathy, strength, knowledge, and trust, all of which I strive to bring to each individual case.

When I’m not working, I enjoy simple pleasures, such as taking my dogs on long walks/hikes, going on bike rides, and relaxing in front of a movie. I share my life with my loving husband Chad, crazy anxious American Cocker Spaniel named Bosco, a handsome German Shepherd named Max, and sneaky Maine Coon/Tabby mix named Atticus.

Hayli K

Hayli Kuta

Veterinary Assistant

Hayli's Bio

Hi there! My name is Hayli Kuta. I spent most of my life growing up in Hells Canyon, Oregon. It is a beautiful little place right on the Snake River bordering Idaho and Oregon. My whole life, I have grown up with dogs in the home which I loved! I had the opportunity to assist my dad in training his Labrador retrievers for hunting. One of my best memories is being present while our family dog Tar gave birth to beautiful puppies! I guess I have always had a love for animals. After I graduated high school I did a couple of semesters at BYU-Idaho studying animal science. Then I decided I was needed elsewhere and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint out east. I got to know the people (and their animals) in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware for 18 months! After that, I moved to Colorado and graduated from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2021, and am working on getting certified as a Veterinary Technician!

I enjoy spending my spare time dabbling in all sorts of crafts from stain glass work to woodwork to even some paper quilling. I love snuggling with my dog ( Chewie an 11-year-old pug) and watching some good Disney movies!

Morgen Z.

Veterinary Assistant
Morgen's Bio

Hi! My name is Morgen, and this is my dog Freyja. Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a passion for helping animals. It all started with a career day in first grade when I realized you could spend time with animals all day in the field of veterinary care! I’m a helper by nature, and anticipating the needs of animals and people is my specialty.

I’ve recently become interested in the benefits of canine nose work. I’ve taken several scent work courses and have seen the benefits first hand. It’s a great way to bond with your dog, provide mental stimulation, and give them the opportunity to use their primary sense!

For funsies, I like to bake, cook for friends and family, and enjoy all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. I hope to see you and your adorable pets soon at VCPI!

Ashley's Bio

Hi there! My name is Ashley Scianna. I moved to Colorado towards the end of 2021 from my hometown of Santa Cruz, California. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to help people, but I found my calling when I realized I could care for their animals at the same time. Having originally pursued a degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of California – Davis, I put my education on hold to save up some money and get real-world experience. Fast forward some time, I joined VCPI where I now get to interact with a compassionate team, caring owners, and their amazing animals. I am Fear Free Certified, and Feline Friendly Certified, and am currently working towards becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician to better serve your pets!

My partner and I have a cattle dog named Dune and two tabby cats named Woody and Girl Kitty. We also have lots of fish and two crested geckos. I’ve had quite a few career changes, but animals have always been where I’ve thrived and I’m so glad that I have the opportunity to now work in the field! I love helping the pets and owners in whichever I can. It’s been very rewarding working here; I’ve loved getting to know the people and the pets with all their fun and goofy personalities. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, and being in the mountains whether that be camping or hiking, or just trying something new! Amy Jaquinta, CVT

Inventory Manager

Amy's Bio

Hi! My name is Amy. I have always had a love for animals and knew from a very young age that working with them was the right career for me. I attended the Bel-Rea Institute, where I completed my schooling in March 2007 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in animal technology and from there went on to get my state certification in June 2007. I have had the pleasure of working in small and large animal clinics, a specialty clinic specializing in neurology, and even enjoyed some time working in the pet insurance industry. I am happy to call the Veterinary Center of Parker, Inc. my home!

After years working in the clinic as a Certified Veterinary Technician, I was given the opportunity to manage the clinic’s Inventory. I currently work remotely from my home in Iowa…Yes, you read that right. I do not currently live in Colorado. My husband and I were married in September 2020,and he swooped me away to Iowa. Thankfully I was given the wonderfully amazing opportunity to stay on with the Veterinary Center of Parker, Inc with my Inventory role. I did happily take on a few other tasks as well.

My husband Ty and I live on a beautiful little acreage in Iowa and have two fur babies. Dierks a Labrador Retriever and Benelli an American Bully. In our spare time, my husband and I love to be outdoors! A few of our favorite activities are hiking, camping, riding horses and boating. Oh! And traveling back to my home state…Colorado! Although I don’t get to see you and your pets in the clinic as often as I used to, I love knowing that I get to support you in other ways!
