MOST RECENT UPDATE:

Dear VCPI Family,

We’re here, we’re safe and we’re working hard! (Read to the end for a fun picture of our staff)

With the stay at home order that was put in place yesterday we wanted to make sure that you know that veterinary care is deemed as an essential service. We are allowed to remain open and provide your pet’s care with certain safety measures in place. These measures are ones we have already been implementing such as the curbside check-in process for appointments and curbside check-in for prescription pick-up.

*We are however making some other important changes to ensure that we are prioritizing the safety and well-being for all:

  1.  We will only be seeing sick appointments during this time with the exception of:
    • Puppy/kitten exams so that we can maintain their immunization protocol needed for their immunity and health.
    • Any pet that is needing a leptospirosis booster as this is a zoonotic disease (can be passed from pet to human) and if we wait the series will have to start all over.
  2. No nail trims, anal gland expressions, routine services that can wait for a few weeks/until we are back to full operations.

*** IMPORTANT- please make sure your pet has a secure collar and lead during curbside check-in. We want to ensure that your pet is transferred safely to a member of our team without the risk of them slipping out of their collars and getting loose. **

If you feel that your pet is experiencing a health issue, please give us a call at 720-851-0820 so we can discuss options with you. If we feel that your pet needs to be seen in the clinic, we will schedule an appointment or if emergency care is deemed necessary, we will refer you to one of our ER partners. If we feel that your pet is a great candidate for a telehealth visit, then we can get you scheduled for that.
We do not want you to think that we are not here for your pet’s health during this time. We have many options available to ensure your pet is healthy and safe.

Telehealth Appointments:
In case you missed our previous updates, we are now offering telehealth visits. These visits are conducted via video conferencing in the comfort of your own home. If you would like to speak one on one with a doctor, you can schedule an appointment in our app (click on side menu then select Schedule virtual exam), on our website or by visiting this link: Schedule Telehealth Visit

If you are needing to pick-up prescriptions:
1. Give us a call when you are on your way so we can ensure your pet’s prescription is ready.
2. If we have not already, we will ask for payment information so we can store in our system and process your payment ahead of time.
3. When you arrive and are safely parked, give us a call (720-851-0820)
4. A member of our staff will come outside and deliver your prescription to your car.

If you have any questions, please give us a call or send us an email at info@vcparker.net.

We appreciate your understanding as we continue to work through this together.

Sincerely,

The Veterinary Center of Parker Team

COVID UPDATE #2

Dear VCPI Family,

The health and well-being of you, our staff and the community is our highest priority. With that in mind, we have made the decision to move exclusivelyto a curbside check-in process effective immediately until further notice.

Curbside Check-In Process:

  1. When you arrive for your appointment and have safely parked, give us a call to check-in (720-851-0820).2. We will confirm your cell phone # as this is how we will be communicating with you for the remainder of the appointment. We will also be asking you to provide us with payment information so we can store it in our system to conduct a contactless payment (this information is securely stored in our payment processing system and is encrypted- not even our staff can see the full card number after it has been entered into our system so rest assured your information is safe).3. After you check-in for your appointment, you will then speak with a technician or assistant over the phone so they can gather pertinent medical information and ask any questions. Depending on staffing availability, we will either place you on hold to speak to a technician or assistant when you call to check-in or have them call you on your cell phone as soon as they are available and ready to get your appointment started.

    3. When we are ready to evaluate your pet, we will come to your car to retrieve your pet and take them inside for an exam by our veterinary team.

    4. You will stay inside of your vehicle while we conduct your pet’s exam (take this time to relax and catch up on a podcast, listen to an audiobook, take a snooze).

    5. After we finish your pet’s exam- we will call you with the results, treatment plan options and discuss charges.

    6. Once your pet’s visit is complete, we will process your card on file, email you a receipt and then bring your pet to your car.

*If you are experiencing any symptoms of cold or flu or have had any known or suspected exposure to COVID-19, please give us a call so we can re-schedule your appointment to a later date.

We appreciate your understanding as we navigate this time together.

Sincerely,

The Veterinary Center Of Parker

COVID UPDATE #1

To our VCPI Family,

We wanted to send out an update in regard to COVID-19 and how we are working to keep you and your pets, our staff and the community safe.

We already diligently clean and sanitize our facility on a regular basis during the day but we are following best practices dictated by the CDC, which advises more frequent hand washing and thorough cleaning of frequently touched surfaces. We clean and sanitize every room in between each patient and will be wiping down all surfaces throughout the hospital every hour or more frequently as needed.

If your pet is stable and you have concerns for your well-being, we are offering the following:

  1. You can choose to stay in your parked vehicle with your pet and call us when you have arrived for your appointment (720-851-0820).
  2. We will collect the necessary information needed from you over the phone.
  3. When we are ready to evaluate your pet, we will come to your car to retrieve your pet for an exam by our veterinary team.
  4. You can stay inside of your vehicle while we conduct your pet’s exam. *
  5. We will call you with your pet’s examination results and treatment plan options.
  6. Once your pet’s visit is complete, we will return your pet to you and conduct payment via our mobile terminal.

*If you would like to be present for your pet’s exam, you can give us a call when you arrive, and we will prepare an exam room for you. We will then give you a call when we are ready so you can come inside and immediately go into the exam room.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of cold or flu or have had any known or suspected exposure to COVID-19, please give us a call so we can re-schedule your appointment to a later date.

We will continue to monitor the situation every day and adjust our protocols as needed.

Our mission is to continue to provide you with outstanding service and deliver the best medicine to your pets. Our hearts go out to those affected and as always, we thank you for allowing us to provide care to your pets and being part of our VCPI family.

Sincerely,

The Veterinary Center Of Parker
