I was a life-long resident of Wisconsin until I graduated from veterinary school. I grew up in a small town outside of Green Bay, Wisconsin and wanted to be a veterinarian since I was five years old! I earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Science from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse then attended the University of Wisconsin- Madison for veterinary school. After graduation, my husband (Matt) and I moved to Colorado, where I completed an emergency and critical care internship. I continued working in emergency medicine for the next six years. After the birth of my son, Porter, I shifted to general practice medicine to have a better family life.

I loved educating my clients while working emergency care but missed the long term care and relationships. I am so excited to be a part of VCPI! My medical interests include nutrition/weight management, pain management, and surgery. I plan to pursue courses and certification in both medical massage and acupuncture for pets. My free time is spent with my family; Matt, Porter (who is finishing up kindergarten!), Romy (a red heeler mix), Indiana (orange tabby), and Ninja (torti). I also enjoy painting and gardening.
